Saint Nicholas was born in Patara of Lycia in 270 AD. by wealthy but pious parents. After distributing his possessions to the poor, he was ordained a priest and then ascended to the archbishopric throne of Myra in Lycia. From his high position he fought for the spread of Christianity, a fact that infuriated the pagans who tortured and imprisoned him.

A young man named Aglaidas fell madly in love with her but she rejected him because she wanted to dedicate her life to Jesus Christ. Aglaidas then turned to Cyprian, in order to make Justina his own with the power of evil spirits. As soon as Cyprian realized that his spells were powerless in front of the Saint, he burned the pagan books and was baptized a Christian. Later the people elected him Bishop of Carthage. From the position of Bishop he showed apostolic zeal and ordained Justina a deacon and abbess.

Saint George the Great Martyr was born in Nicomedia of Bithynia between the years 275 and 281 AD. His father Gerontius, a soldier by profession, came from Cappadocia. His mother's name was Polychronia and she was originally from Lydda of Palestine. George was raised in a Christian environment because his parents had been baptized Christians. At a young age, the Saint joined the ranks of the Roman army and distinguished for his bravery, as a result of which he soon became commander of the imperial guard.

Saint George Karslidis was born in 1901 AD. in Argyroupoli of Pontos. From an early age he showed his devotion to God and at the age of nine he became a monk and later a deacon. He was imprisoned and humiliated by the Stalinist regime in Georgia and even sentenced to death by shooting but he was miraculously saved. In 1929 AD settled in the settlement of Taxiarches of Drama where he lived the last thirty years of his earthly life.
